Rev. M. Derek Jacks, Senior Pastor
Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, Derek has been the senior pastor of HCPC since September 2009. After completing his bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration at Samford University in 2006, Derek graduated from Beeson Divinity School in 2010. He was previously the Associate Pastor for Youth at Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Derek has also worked in the construction and banking industries. He is active in the leadership of Grace Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church by serving as the director of the annual youth event graceCONVO in Gatlinburg, TN as well as serving on the Grace Presbytery Board of Missions. He is also serving as an elected member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Ministry Council. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Cindy, since 2001. They have three children: Ava, Braden, and Drew.

Dr. Lynn Faulkner, Director of Music & Pianist
Dr. Lynn Faulkner (painted above by HCPC’s own Tom Dameron) has served as pianist for HCPC since 2001. She also serves accompanist, adjunct professor, and class piano instructor at the University of Montevallo.
